"In recent years, bowel ultrasound has gained importance as a reliable and non-invasive imaging modality for the diagnostic work-up and clinical follow-up of patients with a range of gut disorders. With good cross-sectional imaging of the gut wall and display of the surrounding mesentery, it may be possible to detect the transmural extent of inflammation or disease.
This talk introduces the audience to the basics of gut sonography, as well as a range of pathologies that can be visualized by ultrasound.
